Company Mission: Opticomp Networks, Inc., is a start-up company that does SBIR sponsored research by various government agencies regarding epitaxial layer transfer and lift-off of III-V solar cell from Ge or GaAs wafer to polymeric substrate permanent carrier to fabricate high efficiency foldable and rollable modules for space and terrestrial applications.

Epitaxial lift-off has the potential to reduce the costs of fabrication of high efficiency solar cell by 30% due to savings in materials through the re-use of the Ge or GaAs wafer to regrow another epitaxial layer.
